Revenue Jersey, part of the Government’s Treasury and Exchequer Department is at the forefront of revolutionising the tax system in Jersey which raises some £800 million in revenues to support the modernisation and improvement of public services for those who live, work and visit the Island. From introducing a modern digital approach to tax collection to ensuring the jurisdiction becomes an exemplar in meeting international standards we are on a mission to become best in class.
You will be joining us at a time of unprecedented change as we embark on fulfilling a proposition towards full independent taxation where every person in Jersey is responsible for their own tax affairs regardless of marital status. This represents the biggest reform of the personal tax system since Income Tax was introduced in 1928.
We have an exciting opportunity for a senior management role in the International Tax Unit to join us and lead a small, talented and committed technical team. You will work closely with the Director of International Taxes and senior colleagues to ensure compliance with all aspects of Jersey’s automatic exchange of information obligations, with a particular focus on FATCA/CRS and Country by Country Reporting.
You will be required to help to develop and to implement strategies to ensure financial institutions comply with their obligations, and to manage all aspects of reporting domestically and internationally. You will have a detailed understanding of FATCA/CRS and, ideally, Country by Country Reporting based on experience in interpreting and advising on these rules. You will also be responsible for liaising with other tax authorities and with international standard setting and assessment bodies such as the OECD.
A credible, confident leader you will be able to inspire and develop your team’s capability and represent Revenue Jersey internally and at an International level. Your communication skills will be exceptional and be complemented by your ability to deliver competing priorities with pace and precision.
