Indirect Taxes Manager - UK & Europe

A really exciting opportunity to join a global lifestyle brand as an Indirect Tax Manager on an interim basis. The role will cover compliance and some special projects and is a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experiences within Indirect Tax compliance and work with a fantastic team.

The role:

* VAT compliance for the UK and Europe - VAT returns, EC Sales Lists and Intrastat
* Ensure all payments are made in a timely manner
* Manager SAO certification process
* Provide and maintain VAT awareness and knowledge across the business - training and liaising with other business units across the business
* Prepare and manage VAT governance framework
* Act as lead VAT contact for any VAT queries that might arise
* Provide input for governance and risk management processes
* Work as a trusted business partner with the wider business
* Work with the wider tax team on a range of special projects
* Keep up to date with legislation changes, new taxes and help shape the business' response to these changes
* Manage two team members who pull data and compile the returns

About you:

* Experience of VAT compliance across other European jurisdictions
* Experience dealing with tax authorities
* Knowledge of retail industry a plus
* Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
* Language skills desirable - German, French or any other European language
* Previous skills managing others would be good to have
* Project management skills
* Independent, robust, flexible and adaptable

4 months FTC possibly to permanent. £70,000. London. Hybrid working.
