This significant role sees you supporting Partners to deliver a first-class tax advisory and compliance service to a broad range of clients, including high net worth individuals, non-doms, non-residents and trusts. 

What you'll be doing:

No day will be the same as the client base is diverse and varied and exciting. 

Preparing or review tax advice for clients
Reviewing and signing off complex personal tax returns and CGT filings
Providing technical support on complex personal tax matters for other tax advisory teams
Assisting with the development and training of the personal tax team based in Plymouth and the West
Undertaking appraisals and career conversations 
Help to promote the tax practice across the firm but principally in the Plymouth marketplace to help ensure a flow of tax work to the firm
Working with the general practice partners and directors on business development opportunities
About you

Previous experience in a tax compliance role at a Senior Manager or Director level
Experienced in providing tax advice and drafting reports
CTA qualified (or equivalent), ACA or ACCA an advantage
Up to date technical knowledge
Understanding of compliance standards imposed by the various regulatory authorities for tax
Commercially astute, with keen an analytical and problem-solving mind
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to deal with people at all levels
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport quickly with clients
Professional and discreet in demonstrating client care
