About You

You will be vibrant, diligent, and organised, and looking to expand your knowledge and capabilities.

As a tax senior, you will know your accounting and tax rules thoroughly and find the challenge of advising owners of small-to-medium sized businesses enjoyable.

With an aptitude for advising clients on their business and personal taxes you will understand the lifecycle of a business and the tax advisor’s role in supporting that growth.

About the Role

This role is mainly tax compliance and advisory work for individuals, but some time will also be sent on tax compliance for businesses.

On the personal tax side, the work includes reviewing draft personal tax returns, preparing more complex personal tax returns and offering remuneration advice.

 On the business tax side , the work includes the review of initial tax reviews on accounts, the preparation of tax computations, and advising on tax planning initiatives.

 Your Qualifications and Experience

You will:

Have recent experience of tax return preparation and providing business tax advice.
Have completed or be working towards an industry qualification e.g., ATT/CTA
Be proficient in working with packages such as Xero and IRIS and Excel

You will be able to manage your time and workflow effectively, to ensure client work is completed in accordance with statutory deadlines and client expectations.

You will have the ability to apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to highlight and resolve client issues, suggest solutions, and support business objectives.

You will be a proactive and effective communicator, showing a willingness to talk through your solutions with clients.

You will want to progress in your career to improve yourself in your management abilities and tax knowledge.
