Tax Director - Hedge Funds

A private equity backed company & one fastest growing advisory firms in the UK is sourcing for a Senior Tax Manager or Director to oversee a team of 4 and mange a portfolio of private equity, offshore and UK fund clients.

The objective for 23/24 is to consolidate all Tax Compliance processes & delivery under their FS business in Tax, ensure the close knit team are working on the right work and deliverables and utilise your experience in the Hedge Fund/Off Shore and or PE market to start working on more complex tax advisory as the team and its delivery capabilities evolve.

Sample work:
• Overseeing the UK Reporting Fund process for offshore funds. This includes applying for UK reporting fund status, annual excess reportable income calculations and ad hoc advisory work.
Be Responsible for the growth of the UK Reporting Fund business, including identifying and speaking to potential clients, ensuring that colleagues are aware of the tax advantages and thinking of when they speak to their clients and introducing her to potential clients where applicable
Responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and reporting for a large number of limited partnerships, asset management companies and investment companies.

You will work with 2 seasoned Tax Partner (across Fund Tax & M&A) and have fantastic autonomy and ownership to develop the team. The environment is down to earth, supportive and allows individuals the opportunity to excel in their careers whilst working in an agile and mature work space.

This role is ideal for someone who loves the PE/Hedge Fund market or alternatively for someone looking to move out of OMB market into Asset Management.
