Tax Investigations Director - Central Leeds

This is an exciting opportunity for a tax investigations specialist to join a highly regarded firm of accountants and continue to grow its successful tax investigations offering. Our client is keen to talk to people from a range of backgrounds such as former Inspectors of Taxes, senior managers or partners at large accountancy firms, investigations specialists from tax boutiques or self employed tax investigations practitioners looking to return to practice. You must be commercial, a team player and happy to network and pursue business development opportunities.

Your portfolio of clients will include existing and new clients for whom you will undertake tax investigatory and defence work. Ideally you will have a number of years' experience in tax, specialising in tax investigations work (Code 8, Code 9, defence of tax planning, LDF, advising clients on a wide range of full and aspect enquiries, including up to date knowledge on APN. penalty regimes etc. You will therefore need a good working knowledge of HM Revenue & Customs tax regulations and procedures including some knowledge of civil and prosecution work.
