SAP Data Services/Migration Consultant for a Central Government Organization

£550 Per Day Outside IR35
3–6 months initial contract
Hybrid Role (2 days on site Minimum) – Canary Wharf London

Your new company:

A Central Government Organization is looking for an experienced SAP Data Services/Migration Consultant to join their team, making sure their data warehouse is working effectively while the team works on improvements.

Your new role:

As our Data Warehouse Developer focused on using SAP tools, you'll be supporting and continuously improving the data warehouse, as well as delivering new code to allow the team to report on new data sources.
As an experienced Developer, you'll play a key role in developing and supporting our ETL capability across the organisation.

What you need to succeed:

* Strong knowledge of SAP Data Services
* Demonstrable success in working in a multi-team environment, making your own code in an unpredictable setting
* Essential skills required:

* Defining, designing, and developing data marts or warehouses using Kimball dimensional modelling techniques
* Defining, designing, and developing the Extract Transform Load (ETL) process using industry best practices, and monitoring ETL deployments and operations

Desirable Skills

* The ability to develop SQL, views, and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server
* Knowledge of Oracle SQL
* Having strong intellectual and problem-solving skills and being confident in these – offering new and different solutions to the BI challenges we face
* Having effectively coached technical colleagues would be desirable
* Wanting to be a key person in a team by knowing as much as possible about the systems, processes, and the organisation to contribute significantly to a team
* Having the capability to manage people when required
* Ability to manage and prioritise multiple items of work. Also, be able to help others
* Having excellent problem-solving skills when needing to find a solution to a requirement
