Tax Accountant - In-house, Manchester / Hybrid

Great In-house role for a tax professional looking to develop a career in industry. Reporting to a Manager this role would suit an ATT, AAT (or equivalent) qualified or part-qualified who has tax accounting experience, ideally gained within an in-house tax or finance team. You will have strong Excel skills, as well as being adept at financial systems and processes. As a proficient and experienced finance professional who isn't afraid of a challenge, you’ll enjoy this changing environment as this highly acquisitive business continues to grow at an impressive pace! You will work on an interesting mix direct and indirect tax including:

o Ensuring compliance with VAT return deadlines and preparing VAT returns for the Group of companies
o Preparing preliminary corporation tax computations for annual financial reporting purposes
o Coordinating the annual corporation tax compliance cycle, liaising with external advisors and internal finance teams
o Providing employment tax support to the Payroll / HR teams, including coordination of annual employment tax returns
o Maintaining the Group’s tax database and dealing with administrative matters for indirect tax, corporation tax and employment tax as required
o Preparing payment requests for indirect tax, corporation tax and employment tax
o Providing support for the annual external audit process
o Assisting with forecasting for all tax aspects in terms of liabilities and cash flows
o Supporting the Tax Manager in developing the Tax Control Framework including testing and process improvements
o Providing support for ad-hoc tax issues as and when required
