In-House Tax Assistant - Altrincham / WFH

Your new company
This is a large and well-known UK-based hotel and leisure group who are looking to recruit a Tax Assistant to work within the tax team at the Group HQ. The company manages and manage a number of different hotels across the UK, and have a large finance team based out of their head office alongside this role. The business are highly acquisitive, and offer an interesting and complex workload and plenty of career progression.

Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Tax Assistant or Senior / Semi-Senior to progress their career with a highly reputable and large company. The role reports into the Group Tax Manager, and will see you assist with both VAT and Corporate Tax and also some wider taxes when required across the UK. Your main responsibilities include:

* Providing ad hoc support across all taxes on both tax compliance and tax project work
* Handle some corporation tax returns through inputting trial balances onto the tax system, increasing with responsibility with experience.
* Assist with VAT and corporation tax records and dealing with HMRC correspondence
* To assist with all tax compliance through communication with HMRC eg, VAT registrations and Options to Tax

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have gained some finance and/or tax experience either from a practice or working within industry. You will have a good understanding of excel and finance systems, and be a confident communicator.
