I am working with a FTSE 250 business to hire a Tax Reporting Manager to join their London based Tax team.

The role will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the interim and year-end tax numbers, managing the UK direct tax compliance process, preparation of CIR and UK CFC analysis, review of overseas tax returns for significant group companies, managing CBCR and Pillar 2 compliance, and support with group tax projects. The role would suit a proactive candidate with strong inter-personal and project management skills, experience with tax reporting and consolidation for FTSE Groups.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

* The role requires a strong understanding of the UK tax legislation relating to corporate taxes including the CFC and CIR rules. This will be essential for providing tax technical input on group projects including financing, group restructurings, expansions and M&A.
* Manage group tax reporting including the year end and interim tax reporting process, including updating Group ETR forecast and cash tax analysis.
* Review year end current and deferred tax consolidation schedules for the group including the tax disclosures for the consolidated and significant entity accounts.
* Manage all aspects of UK corporate tax compliance, including the review of the UK tax computations and returns as prepared by external advisors. Work with finance to review the tax returns for significant overseas group companies as prepared by local tax advisers.
* Managing the group's CBCR and Pillar 2 compliance.
* Assist with the review of the group's RDEC claim.
* Actively review and monitor UK tax risks and relevant controls and processes, including responsibility for the group's senior accounting officer reporting workstreams.
* Assisting with group tax projects such as streamlining inter-company balances and legal entity rationalisation.
* Assist in managing relationships and dialogue with HMRC.
* The role involves working across the business units within the group and partnering with key stakeholders including the wider finance team, internal audit, legal and compliance and to advocate commercially focused and pragmatic tax solutions.

Experience required:

* Trained in tax with a Top 10 accountancy firm or in-house
* Tax Manager level experience
* Qualified ACA or CTA
* The ability to build relationships across the organisation
* Proven ability to work to deadlines in a complex environment, with key skills being attention to detail and effective project management
* Strong understanding of tax accounting for UK listed groups
* The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of UK tax law
* Industry experience in a FTSE Group is a strong advantage
