Are you looking for a new challenge? This PE backed organisation has gone from strength to strength over the recent years, enjoying impressive growth especially within its human capital practice. It supports a broad range of clients across a variety of sectors and is looking to the future with ambitious growth plans.
The majority of the team have trained with a Big 4 or Tier A firm, affording you the chance to work amongst experts in this specialist field. It is big enough to offer you access to interesting and challenging work, yet small enough to be flexible and agile to offer a role that plays to your strengths and interests.
The team do a lot of memo writing/advice to explain the tax implications of moving cross border to employers, this usually involves tax modelling calculations to cover various scenarios. So, you will need to be comfortable with these type of queries and have a good understanding of tax treaties and UK tax law to be able to draft up (and progress to reviewing) technical tax advice. The team do not do a lot of tax compliance, so managing a tax season or volume of work on a big client is not something you will do. As well as client delivery work, you will also be expected to support more junior members of the team - they tend to hire 4/5 new graduates each year.
The ideal candidate will be ATT qualified (working towards the CTA), have experience of dealing directly with clients and drafting up/explaining tax technical responses. It would suit individuals from non-Big 4 firms or those at the Big 4 who are used to working on advisory issues with midmarket clients.
If you currently work in global mobility tax at Assistant Manager or Manager level, and want to broaden your experience and avoid being pigeonholed, then this could be the ideal role for you. This firm is punching above its weight and is in a great position to offer rapid progression for those who are ambitious. It also has a really unique and grown up culture offering a lot of flexibility.
