You will join a team with wide range of clients across hedge funds, private equity, credit and other asset managers
The team covers an array of work and your development into the team, will depend if you have more tax compliance or tax advisory skills starting off and where you would like to develop your career!
As as starting point you will work ensuring partnership and corporate tax returns and computations are prepared accurately by reviewing the computations and checking for any risks. You will covers the usual array of issues around CFCs, capital allowances, CIR and hybrids review.
You will work with leading Tax Partners and Directors on fund structuring solutions on a deal-by-deal basis including identifying key tax risks to investors, executives and investments across multiple jurisdictions including incentive mechanisms for management and other stakeholders. Having prior Tax Advisory experience, will allow a person to start off with advisory work.
Whilst developing your skills on the jobs you will get exposed to trading vs investment issues, UK investment manager exemptions, salaried
member rules reviews and permanent establishment risks ensuring clients are aware of key tax risks.
You will have the support of specialist teams across employment taxes, VAT, transfer pricing across the UK and wider network to support and review or input expertise into projects and client transactions.
The role will enable a person, with UK Tax experience, to get exposure to the global players within the Private Equity tax market. You will gain excellent international tax exposure, whilst ensuring skills and industry exposure, which will ensure long term earning potential and excellent career opportunities.
