Manager - Corporate & International Tax, London
This leading corporate and international tax team works with some of the largest multinational companies in the UK. Operating nationally, the team is based across more than ten offices.
The team is seeking a Manager who thrives on technical challenges, excels in building client relationships, and enjoys leading and developing teams. Candidates should have a strong track record of managing complex international and corporate tax projects within multidisciplinary teams. The role offers flexibility, allowing candidates to be based in any of the firm's UK offices.
This position provides a varied and challenging workload, with significant career development opportunities. Managers will collaborate with and learn from Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners, including renowned practitioners. A dedicated coach will support performance, well-being, and professional development, and peers will be available in each office location.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advisory services to large corporate clients on UK and international tax matters
* Manage and maintain long-term client relationships, while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and strategic insights
* Oversee clients' corporate tax compliance obligations, including corporate tax return submissions, tax accounting, and reporting requirements
* Lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration
* Develop innovative solutions for complex tax challenges faced by clients
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is suited for individuals who:
* Hold a professional tax qualification (e.g. ACA, ATT, CTA, CA, ACCA or an equivalent international qualification) or have relevant work experience
* Have previous advisory experience working with UK and international large corporate tax clients
* Possess strong UK corporate tax knowledge, including the ability to review tax computations, tax accounting, and group reporting calculations
* Have experience interpreting statutory accounts and applying sound accounting knowledge
* Demonstrate leadership capabilities, engaging with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
* Bring experience in business development, including identifying client opportunities through networking and referrals
* Understand broader UK and global business trends, with the ability to discuss and advise clients on their impact
