Interim Indirect Tax Manager

Interim Indirect Tax Manager job in central London requires an experienced Indirect Tax Manager for a 12-18 months period, in this project indirect tax job in London.

Reporting to, and working very closely with, the Head of Tax of this well established business, the interim Indirect Tax Manager will initially join to manage the VAT compliance and obligations of the business, whilst then looking at the improvements which can be made in terms of the processes and systems and ultimately in the automation and better use of technology. Key responsibilities will involve:

* Preparing the quarterly VAT returns.
* Lead on the implementation of tax technology to streamline the VAT process.
* Prepare VAT Tax Guidance Notes for publication on the Intranet.
* Support on the tax requirements of the Oracle Netsuite implementation.
* Provide ad hoc technical guidance to the business on VAT.
* Prepare a tax risk register for indirect taxes and support the Head of Tax on SAO obligations.

To be considered for this role it is essential to have UK VAT experience in compliance and to have implemented technology. Applicants who have had a previous experience of playing a pivotal role in the management of VAT risks, preparing guidance notes and the general improvement of processes will be favoured.
