Your responsibility as an Indirect Tax Partner
As a Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the global customs strategy in line with the firm’s broader tax and trade vision. You will anticipate and respond to regulatory changes across jurisdictions, including trade agreements, tariffs, and supply chain security, while driving the development of innovative digital and data-driven customs solutions to improve client compliance and efficiency. Acting as the lead partner for multinational organisations, you will provide pragmatic, business-focused solutions to complex customs challenges.
You will expand the customs client portfolio and position the firm as the advisor of choice for customs and trade matters. In addition, you will lead, mentor, and develop a global team of customs professionals, fostering collaboration across borders and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery, while championing diversity, inclusion, and talent development across the practice.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly experienced customs and trade professional with a strong background in advisory work, ideally gained in a Big 4 or leading consultancy, and proven success in a senior in-house role managing global customs and trade operations for a multinational corporation. With extensive knowledge of customs valuation, classification, origin, and trade compliance frameworks, you will have experience engaging with customs authorities, regulators, and trade bodies worldwide, combined with a deep understanding of global supply chains, free trade agreements, and the impact of geopolitical developments on trade flows.
Commercially focused and strategically minded, you will be adept at managing significant revenue streams, engaging with senior stakeholders. You should be a strong communicator and credible thought leader, as you will represent the firm in the market while contributing to the growth of our global customs practice.
