Due to continued expansion, this large group currently has a vacancy for a Tax Manager to provide tax support across all arms of the business. This is a newly created role which will provide the successful candidate with a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and exciting privately owned property business. The role will give the candidate exposure to a broad range of UK and international tax matters within a supportive and dynamic team, as well as an opportunity to shape the tax compliance processes within the business.
Reporting to the Corporate Tax Senior Manager and based in South Manchester the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the business with its ongoing tax compliance obligations and advisory projects. The ideal candidate will be ACA/CTA qualified, ideally with a Big 4 background, been involved in compliance and advisory roles and happy to work within a team and independently.
Key Accountabilities:
• Supporting the groups corporate tax compliance and reporting obligations;
• Managing the groups overseas tax obligations;
• Leading on smaller advisory projects and supporting the Corporate Tax Senior Manager and Chief Tax Officer on larger advisory projects;
• Manage and develop the existing Tax Assistant setting priorities and strategic direction;
• Supporting the Finance Teams in developing tax provisions for forecasting / external reporting;
• Able to build strong relationships with, and to be able to communicate with, key internal and external stakeholders;
• To support and then lead on non-corporate tax compliance, such as CT61 forms, Non-Resident Landlord scheme, STBV’s.
• A keen eye for identifying process improvements and managing existing tax controls and risk frameworks;

Competencies:
• ACA and/or CTA qualified
• Big 4 Experience would be preferred
• UK advisory experience preferable
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Experience of managing and leading teams
• IT literate with advanced Excel skills
• Ability to adapt and respond to on-going change in business
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
This role can be full-time or a 5 day week. Can be worked on a hybrid basis. Minimum days in the office 3 days
