The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Private Client Tax Manager to join a well‑established and growing London tax team. This role is ideally suited to someone working with high‑net‑worth individuals, families and trusts, who enjoys tackling complex and advisory‑led work.

The position offers broad exposure to technically challenging matters, including international and cross‑border tax, dispute resolution, inheritance tax planning, and owner‑managed business projects. There is flexibility to tailor the role around the successful candidate's strengths and interests, alongside clear scope for future progression.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, including high‑net‑worth individuals, wealthy families and offshore structures
* Advising on a wide range of private client tax issues, including international and cross‑border matters
* Overseeing the preparation, review and submission of personal tax returns, ensuring compliance and best practice
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients and liaising with HMRC on personal tax affairs
* Managing HMRC enquiries, investigations and voluntary disclosures
* Supporting partners and senior colleagues on complex advisory and project‑based work
* Identifying advisory opportunities and contributing to business development initiatives
* Mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members
* Maintaining up‑to‑date technical knowledge through continued professional development

Candidate Profile

* CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Either stepping up into a Manager role or already operating at Manager level
* Strong experience in private client tax, ideally with exposure to complex or advisory‑focused work
* Commercially aware and client‑focused, with excellent communication skills
* Confident supervising and developing junior staff
* Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities
* IT‑literate with experience using tax software and Microsoft applications
* Ambitious, curious, and motivated to continue developing technically and professionally
