Clark Wood are currently working with a highly respected independent accountancy and business advisory firm who are looking to recruit a Tax Advisory Manager to join their growing team in Warrington.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established and forward-thinking practice that has been supporting businesses and business owners across the North-West for over 100 years. The firm works predominantly with larger family-owned and owner-managed businesses across a wide range of industries and sectors, providing specialist tax and business advisory services tailored to their clients' needs.

The successful candidate will join an experienced and highly regarded tax team, working closely with the Tax Partners on a varied portfolio of advisory assignments. The role will involve delivering a broad range of private client and corporate tax advisory projects, preparing technical reports, managing assignments from planning through to implementation, and liaising with external professional advisers including solicitors and banks.

In addition, you will support the development of junior team members through technical training and mentoring, whilst also assisting with workshops and presentations where required. This role offers excellent client exposure, varied advisory work, and genuine opportunities for career progression within an independent and ambitious firm.

The ideal candidate will be CTA qualified and operating at Manager level or above, with strong experience across a broad range of tax advisory projects. Excellent technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to manage client relationships and complex assignments will be essential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Managing a wide range of private client and corporate tax advisory assignments
• Preparing technical reports and advisory documentation
• Project managing assignments from planning through to implementation and completion
• Liaising with solicitors, banks, and other professional advisers
• Supporting clients through complex business and tax challenges
• Assisting with technical training and mentoring of junior staff
• Delivering workshops and presentations where required
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Working closely with Tax Partners on advisory projects
• Identifying and developing tax planning opportunities for clients

Skills:

• CTA Qualified
• Operating at Manager level or above within a tax advisory environment
• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of tax advisory matters
• Experience managing complex advisory projects from inception to completion
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Strong report writing and presentation abilities
• Experience mentoring and developing junior team members
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively
• Commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
