Clark Wood is working with a highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Alton who are looking to recruit an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join their growing tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal Tax professional with UK accountancy practice experience to take ownership of a varied portfolio of private clients while gaining exposure to a broad range of compliance and advisory work.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Managers and Partners, managing client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the firm's private client offering.
Key Responsibilities

- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing and reviewing Self-Assessment tax returns
- Advising clients on Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Inheritance Tax (IHT) and personal tax planning matters
- Handling HMRC correspondence and responding to client queries
- Building strong and lasting client relationships
- Supporting Managers and Partners with advisory assignments and ad hoc tax projects
- Assisting and mentoring junior members of the tax team where required

Skills & Experience

- ATT qualified, CTA qualified, studying towards CTA, or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory matters
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and a varied client portfolio effectively
