This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in a specialist and increasingly important area of tax, advising private equity-backed businesses, management teams, entrepreneurs and investors on the tax aspects of transactions and management incentive arrangements.
The role offers significant exposure to private equity transactions, management incentive plans, share schemes and wider advisory work, alongside the opportunity to develop senior client relationships and play an active role in business development.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will work on a varied portfolio of technically interesting and commercially focused assignments, including:

Advising private equity investors and management teams on the tax structuring of management incentive arrangements.
*
Supporting transactions from initial structuring through to implementation and post-deal advisory.
*
Advising founders, entrepreneurs and shareholders on transactions and reorganisations.
*
Providing advice on share plans, incentive arrangements and employee ownership structures.
*
Managing technically complex projects and delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
*
Developing and maintaining strong client and intermediary relationships.
*
Identifying and converting new business opportunities.
*
Supporting and developing junior members of the team.
Candidate Profile
The business is keen to hear from qualified tax professionals with strong technical capability and a genuine interest in transaction-driven advisory work.
Experience of management incentives, private equity, employment tax, private client or corporate tax would be advantageous, although candidates from adjacent tax disciplines with strong advisory experience are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:

ACA, CTA, tax specialist, legal or equivalent professional qualification.

Strong tax technical and advisory skills.

Excellent client relationship and communication abilities.
*
Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to solving complex problems.

A proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
*
Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior professionals.
*
The confidence to work with senior stakeholders and provide commercially relevant advice.
