Personal Tax Senior

Clark Wood are recruiting for a Personal Tax Senior to join an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Stockport.
This would suit a Personal Tax Senior, Personal Tax Semi Senior or experienced Tax Assistant looking for their next move within practice.
You’ll look after a varied portfolio of private clients including HNWIs, company directors, landlords and sole traders, with the role mainly focused on personal tax compliance alongside some tax planning and advisory work.
The Role

- Managing your own portfolio of personal tax clients
- Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns
- Dealing with personal tax queries and client correspondence
- Exposure to CGT, IHT, residency and other personal tax matters
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work
- Reviewing work and supporting more junior members of the team
- Liaising with HMRC and dealing with enquiries where required
- Building strong relationships with clients

About You

- Previous Personal Tax experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of personal tax compliance
- ATT qualified or working towards ATT / qualified by experience
- Experience managing your own client portfolio
- Good communication and client-handling skills
- CTA would be advantageous but is not essential
