Tax Compliance Senior - Leeds, Glasgow or Newcastle

We’re looking for an experienced Tax Compliance Senior to join a growing Tax Consultancy team, with opportunities available in Leeds, Glasgow or Newcastle.

Your responsibilities as a Tax Compliance Senior
As a Tax Compliance Senior, you’ll be responsible for accurately entering tax information into specialist tax software, preparing client records for review by the Tax Compliance Manager. You’ll manage more complex areas within your portfolio, including profit sharing, Farmers’ Averaging Claims and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) computations, while contacting clients to obtain any outstanding information.

You’ll also complete the electronic submission of tax returns to HMRC, identify and report any HMRC compliance enquiry notices to the Tax Compliance Manager, and provide guidance and training to Tax Compliance Assistants on tax data entry processes.

Requirements
You will ideally be ATT or CTA qualified, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You’ll have previous experience working in an accounting or tax compliance role within an accountancy practice, along with a full UK driving licence, which is essential for the position.

You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritise competing workloads and deliver to strict deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy. Strong organisation, problem-solving and initiative are important, alongside a collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues as part of a dynamic tax team.
