Personal Tax Assistant Manager
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 DOE
Clark Wood is working with a well-established accountancy practice that is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join its Private Client tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to take the next step in their career, with responsibility for managing a varied client portfolio and providing personal tax compliance and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of private clients.
- Prepare and review Self Assessment tax returns and tax computations.
- Advise clients on a range of personal tax matters.
- Support clients with tax planning and advisory work.
- Deal with HMRC correspondence and enquiries.
- Review work completed by junior team members.
- Support and mentor more junior staff.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Assist the Tax Manager and Partners with complex tax matters.
About You
- Previous experience in personal tax within a UK accountancy practice.
- ATT or CTA qualified, with CTA qualification particularly advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance and planning.
- Experience managing client relationships and reviewing work.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to client service.
