VAT Senior Compliance Manager, Brighton

The business is also quite well integrated. The consulting team work very closely with the compliance team to support the delivery of services, assisting with internal training and facilitating the sharing of knowledge between the two teams.

The compliance team is looking to recruit a talented and ambitious individual, capable of managing one of the sub-teams (6-10 staff).

The role in brief:

Managing day to day performance of the team as well as individuals

Mentoring and developing others

Delivering excellent client-focused service in line with internal guidelines & ensuring the team follows suit

Ensuring the team follows internal risk management processes

Submitting VAT Returns and providing Compliance Account Management for key accounts

Reviewing and recommending changes relating to processes and training needs

About you:

Over three years of VAT experience gained in-house or within a professional services practice

Experience of managing people (ideal but not essential)

The team would be particularly interested in candidates who have developed expertise in the E-commerce industry and/or submitting Intrastat declarations in multiple jurisdictions.

All applicants will need to be confident in their ability to work in English at a proficient level. While fluency in another major European language would be advantageous, this is not essential.
