Long term growth has meant increased demand on Group Finance, leading to this newly created role for a Tax Accountant.
This is a wide ranging and interesting position that will evolve. Working closely with the Group Tax Director and other members of central finance, including the Group Finance Director and Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for: bringing in house the preparation and submission of UK corporation tax computations including R&D and Patent Box claims, and capital allowance projects; assisting with year end consolidated tax figures, ad hoc M&A/restructuring tax issues, and preparation for the group’s entry into the Senior Accounting Officer regime; maintaining transfer pricing documentation; ensuring worldwide withholding tax compliance; and assisting with changes associated with BEPS.
You should be a qualified accountant or hold the ACCA / ACA or ATT and / or CTA qualification and can demonstrate some experience of corporate tax calculation and compliance under IFRS. Your tax accounting skills will have been developed either within an accountancy firm; or in a commercial environment.
This role requires a team player who is highly motivated and possesses a good sense of humour. The ability to communicate comfortably and effectively at all levels and with different nationalities is essential, as is a willingness to go the extra mile, flexibility in your approach to work and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
