VAT Consultant or Senior VAT Consultant, East Sussex

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and technically capable VAT Consultant or Senior Consultant.

About you:

With between 3-5 years of VAT consulting experience, probably gained in a large firm or perhaps in house, the role may also suit someone currently doing a mix of VAT compliance and advisory work, but seeking a pure VAT consultancy arrangement.

You will be able to demonstrate good UK VAT technical knowledge, as well as a familiarity with cross border European VAT issues.

While this is an advisory role, you will have a sound knowledge of EU compliance matters, as part of the job will be to assist the VAT compliance team with technical queries and audits.

Strong communication skills are important, as is the ability to build strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues, mentor juniors, conduct presentations and seminars on occasions.

You will be CTA qualified or able to demonstrate VAT knowledge to an equal standing, and ideally fluent in one European language, although this is not essential.

The team regularly undertakes reviews for clients across Europe. In consequence, there may also be a need for international travel on occasions.
