In-house Employment Tax Director, FS

An international investment bank are looking for a London-based employment tax / expatriate tax specialist to oversee all EMEA Employment Tax matters.

This is a middle-office role, with a focus on transaction support as well as traditional advisory employment tax work. This covers:
• Remuneration structures
• Expatriate employees
• Employee share plans
• Non-employee arrangements

Other responsibilities include:
• Working closely with other internal teams to provide technical support and ensure tax compliance across EMEA
• Keeping track of relevant changes in employment tax related legislation
• Supporting internal and external tax audits
• Reviewing and improving existing policies, procedures and processes

The ideal candidate will:
• Have a sound tax technical knowledge covering employment tax, cross-border and global mobility issues, bilateral social security agreements, and employee share schemes
• Have at least 8 years experience working on advisory tax projects within a chartered accounting firm, law firm, or in industry
• Be able to work with minimal supervision
• Be comfortable working across different time zones.
