A personal tax Assistant Manager is being sought to join the High Wycombe team on a fixed-term basis. The office provides direct tax support, both compliance and advisory, to external clients and also internal London partners, dealing with an extensive private client base.
The role
The successful applicant will be responsible for their own portfolio of high net worth private clients which will include being involved in the day-to-day administration of the portfolio including all aspects of compliance, managing and overseeing more junior staff and assisting with planning projects. Reporting will be to the group’s senior manager and to the partners.
The team
The tax team is split into two disciplines, personal and corporate, with a total of six professionals ranging from trainee to Senior Manager.
The office
Located in High Wycombe near to the high street. The office has a total team of twenty-one, leading in Audit, Tax and support, with three leading Partners.
You
The ideal candidate will be an existing Assistant Manager (or equivalent level), and will be able to demonstrate experience in managing juniors, juggling a portfolio and who has a solid personal tax background.
The successful applicant will require confidence in dealing with clients and partners, be able to use their own initiative and problem solve. With this fixed-term contract come the pre-requisites that the candidate is motivated, a team player and able to meet deadlines.
Salary/benefits
A 35-hour working week with flexibility around the core hours of 10am-12pm / 2pm-4pm
Working from home allowance of £25 a month.
Eligibility for the firm’s Profit Sharing Plan that runs from October to September each year. The scheme enables staff to share in the profits of the firm.
Competitive annual salary depending upon experience.
Twenty-five days annual leave. This increases in line with length of service.
