There is no point trying to compare the salary for a junior tax manager job at a 3 partner firm with a experienced 3rd year manager at a Big 4 firm in London. Equally, in-house tax manager roles with the FTSE 50 that focus on international tax will often pay over £100,000 plus benefits, which would be a salaried partner level of pay for an independent firm in the North of England.
