Tax Manager - Indirect Tax Compliance (Birmingham)

A unique role Tax role is on offer with an exceptionally strong global Financial Advisory business (Birmingham) This firm advises corporates, creditors and other financial stakeholders in situations of financial stress and distress.

The team offers market-leading experience in establishing and delivering contingency plans, solvent restructures and insolvencies across Financial Services businesses in multiple jurisdictions, providing credible fallback plans to protect value or helping to shape and effect a restructuring.

A key part of this is Tax support for key cases the firm manages, whether restructure of liquidation. The team works directly with the financial advisory colleagues and external stakeholders including lenders, borrowers and legal advisors to understand the often complex commercial and legal requirements of each restructuring transaction;
Imperative to this advising on the submission of appropriate tax returns or other documentation to tax authorities and liaising with them, as required and Indirect Tax and managing complex Indirect Tax processes is critical to the process. You will have full support of the Birmingham insolvency team and you will be non client facing and frankly engage and act as an in-house representative for the key cases you are working on.

This role is superb if you like tax technical work, but would like a firm working pattern and also either a 4 day a week or flexible role.
