Your responsibilities as a R&D Tax Manager
You will take the lead in managing project teams, demonstrating strong communication skills and working collaboratively with colleagues of varied expertise to deliver high-quality, client-facing engagements. You will oversee the efficient delivery of R&D tax services, ensuring technical excellence while building and maintaining strong client relationships, particularly with senior stakeholders. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will identify opportunities to add value, manage client expectations, and liaise with other service teams to deliver seamless support.
You will also manage day-to-day client liaison, and play an active role in business development by supporting existing accounts and contributing to winning new work.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced R&D Tax practitioner with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality results. You’ll be a confident team player who integrates quickly into new environments, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships. With proven experience in leading and project managing R&D claims, you will also bring strong Excel capability.
A fully qualified ACA, CA, ACCA, ATT, or CTA (or equivalent, such as the Tax Inspectors Technical Training Course) is essential, as well as strong writing and communication skills. Experience managing and coordinating service delivery both in-office and remotely is highly valued. Ideally, you will also have project management skills, budget management experience, and familiarity with Alteryx.
