Deal Advisory Tax Senior Manager - Corporate M&A

A leading professional services business is expanding its Corporate M&A Tax capability and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Manager to join the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior tax professional who enjoys working at the intersection of tax, transactions and commercial decision-making. The role will provide exposure to a broad range of corporate transactions, working with businesses, investors and management teams on acquisitions, disposals, restructuring, due diligence and wider strategic projects.

The successful candidate will take a senior role in delivering transaction tax assignments, helping clients understand complex tax issues and, importantly, what those issues mean from a commercial and deal perspective. They will work with senior stakeholders, lawyers, advisers and tax specialists, often on projects involving multiple jurisdictions and areas of taxation.

There is also a strong opportunity to become involved in client development and growth, contributing to new business opportunities, developing existing relationships and helping to identify where additional tax expertise can add value.
The role will suit someone who wants more than technical delivery. The successful individual will have the opportunity to influence projects, develop client relationships, mentor talented tax professionals and play an active role in growing the wider team.

The ideal candidate will bring:

* Strong UK corporate tax experience, with a background in transaction tax, M&A or a closely related area
* Experience working on complex or high-profile transactions
* A commercially minded approach and the ability to translate technical tax matters into practical advice
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience managing multiple projects and working effectively under pressure
* The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and professional advisers
* An interest in business development and developing new opportunities
* Experience mentoring and developing more junior colleagues
* CTA, ACA, CA or an equivalent professional qualification
