Personal Tax Semi Senior | Stockport | £26,000 - £32,000 DOE (+ Study Support)

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a well-established and highly regarded independent firm of chartered accountants in Stockport who are looking to recruit a Personal Tax Semi Senior to join their growing Private Client Tax team.

The Role

You will assist with managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients while developing your technical knowledge and advisory skills, with responsibilities including:

- Preparing and submitting Self Assessment tax returns for a varied portfolio of individuals
- Assisting with the management of private client portfolios and ensuring all deadlines are met
- Preparing Capital Gains Tax calculations and supporting tax planning assignments
- Assisting with Inheritance Tax matters and estate administration where required
- Liaising directly with HMRC regarding client queries and tax matters
- Supporting senior members of the tax team with advisory projects
- Building strong and lasting relationships with private clients

About You

- Previous experience working within the Personal Tax department of a UK accountancy practice
- Experience preparing Self Assessment tax returns
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
- Ambitious individual looking to develop a long-term career in Private Client Tax
