Family Office - Finance, Wealth & Tax Manager
Leicester | Office Based | Full-Time or Part-Time
A unique opportunity has arisen to join a privately owned family office supporting the personal wealth affairs of two business owners and their families.
The role will take ownership of the day-to-day accounting, administration and financial management of a well-established family wealth structure comprising investment companies, trusts, property holdings, cash and investment assets. This is a hands-on position focused on maintaining accurate records, overseeing financial administration and ensuring the efficient ongoing management of established wealth and tax structures.
This appointment represents the first dedicated family office hire and will play a key role in providing professional stewardship of the family's financial affairs.
The Family Office
The family has built significant wealth through a successful trading business. Funds are invested through separate family investment companies held via trusts, allowing each owner to manage their family's wealth independently.
The family's assets primarily consist of:
* Family investment companies
* Trust structures
* UK property investments
* Cash deposits and banking arrangements
* Investment portfolios
The core tax and restructuring work has already been implemented, supported by external advisers. The focus of this role is therefore on ongoing management, record-keeping, administration and oversight rather than leading complex tax planning projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the family office finance function.
* Maintain accurate financial records across all family entities and structures.
* Manage accounting and administration for:
* Family investment companies
* Trusts
* Property holdings
* Cash and banking arrangements
* Investment assets
* Monitor and maintain established wealth and tax structures.
* Coordinate information required by external accountants, tax advisers and professional service providers.
* Ensure financial information is organised, accurate and readily available.
* Oversee ongoing financial administration and housekeeping activities.
* Produce reports and updates for the family principals.
* Work closely with the two owners and report directly to Dipesh.
* Take full responsibility for an area currently managed alongside wider business commitments.
Candidate Profile
We are open to considering candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including:
* Family Office Accounting
* Family Office Administration
* Wealth Management Support
* Private Wealth or Personal Tax

* Private Client Accounting
* High-Net-Worth (HNW) or Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) Client Services

The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting, tax and wealth structures, although the role does not require a highly specialised tax practitioner. External advisers provide technical support where needed.
You will be comfortable reviewing financial information, understanding tax implications and ensuring records are maintained correctly and efficiently.
