Personal Tax Senior – Basingstoke
Salary: £42,000 – £50,000 + Excellent Benefits
Clark Wood is working with a growing accountancy practice in Basingstoke that is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Senior to join its tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with previous UK practice experience to manage a varied portfolio of private clients, take responsibility for personal tax compliance and gain further exposure to tax planning and advisory work.
The role would suit a Personal Tax Senior, Semi-Senior or Tax Assistant looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of private client tax work.
- Prepare Self Assessment tax returns and personal tax computations.
- Handle client queries and HMRC correspondence.
- Ensure tax compliance deadlines are met.
- Assist with personal tax planning and advisory work.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work closely with the Tax Manager on client matters and more complex tax work.

About You

- ATT or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax.
- Good experience preparing Self Assessment tax returns.
- Confident communicating with clients and HMRC.
- Organised, proactive and keen to develop professionally.
