Our client is a well-established and highly regarded accountancy and advisory firm with a strong national presence. The firm advises a broad range of high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners, combining deep technical expertise with a relationship-led approach.
With continued growth in its private client offering, the firm is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Tax Partner to play a key role in leading and expanding this practice area across Surrey with close ties with the London team.
The Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Private Client Tax specialist to take ownership of a significant portfolio of clients, while driving the continued growth and strategic direction of the private client practice.
The successful individual will act as a trusted adviser to high-net-worth individuals and families, providing commercially focused advice across a broad range of UK tax matters, while also contributing to the wider leadership of the firm.
Key Responsibilities

* Leading and managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and trusts
* Providing strategic advice across personal tax matters including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and succession planning
* Advising on complex areas such as domicile, residence, international tax exposure and wealth structuring
* Supporting clients with estate and succession planning, including intergenerational wealth transfer
* Acting as a key relationship holder, building long-term trusted adviser relationships with clients
* Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and working collaboratively with other teams (corporate tax, transaction services, audit and advisory)
* Driving business development activity, including networking, client pitches and building intermediary relationships
* Leading and developing the private client tax team, mentoring senior staff and supporting succession planning
* Contributing to the strategic growth of the firm, including shaping the private client offering and market positioning
* Ensuring technical excellence and risk management across all client work
Skills, Knowledge and Experience

* Professionally qualified (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience in private client tax
* Strong technical expertise across UK personal tax, including inheritance tax and capital taxes
* Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, business owners and complex family structures
* Demonstrable experience operating at senior leadership or partner level (or ready to step up)
* Strong business development capability, with a track record of winning and growing client relationships
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act as a trusted adviser
* Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams
* Commercially astute, with a broad understanding of the wider advisory landscape
